Negi-Ramen takes translation requests. There's no donor or sponsor option in the current incarnation but that doesn't mean that we're not open to your input. The following are not rules exactly, since we're happy to arbitrarily ignore anything that displeases us, but keeping to these guidelines will help you get the response you desire.

1.) For now, we are primarily Hentai Manga. The door is open for other manga projects that excite us, but there's nothing in the works in the near future.

2.) Try to think of the following as tags your title has. If you're familiar with the genre and the story you're interested in seems to have something outside of these, you probably shouldn't bother mentioning them. We're currently working on manga with Hentai, Bakunyuu, BDSM(light), Lolicon and Incest, to name some common types. Veto power will be wielded with broad strokes in the direction of Yaoi, (only)Yuri, Guro, Scat and Snuff. Shota and Futanari are still up in the air.

3.) Try to make sure it hasn't been done. Do some research. It's not always easy to find out if something is currently being translated, but the attempt is appreciated. It wouldn't be the first time we've doubled up on a project with another translator, but there's so much out there that still needs to be translated that efforts are better off focused elsewhere if possible.

4.) Find or create a link to the work in question so we can track it down easily. Don't worry about our bandwidth, higher quality is better if there's an option. It's much easier to dumb down the file size than it is to increase the resolution later.

If something looks good enough that it caught your attention even when you couldn't fully understand it, that's already promising. Post a New Topic in this forum under the title of the work you wish to see translated. In addition to the title try to include the author/artist, number of pages and a download link to the manga if you can find them. If you have anything else to say about the title, feel free.

So you guys are okay with ppl requesting Lolicon, and what do you guys mean by "(just)Yuri"? Does that mean you guys are completely against yuri?

Lolicon is not a problem. What self-respecting per--uhh--connoisseur can't appreciate officially 18-20 year olds with severely stunted sexual maturation?

But even "cute" has limits and I think that's why Hage is against pure yuri. This ain't the isle of Lesbos and it's hard to identify with a love story between two chicks. If there's an element of yuri that's OK but if the story is 100% yuri then we're very likely to refuse to do it.

Stories that involve extreme violence, torture, mutilation, extreme humiliation and cruelty, feces, and male homosexuality are not our thing. We don't even want to look at it in the course of translating.

We have slightly more tolerance for stories involving an element of female homosexuality but pure yuri is sort of a niche thing we're not interested in.

I could change it to "pure" or "100%" Yuri if that would make more sense.

Hige said it very well. We're not exactly offended by girl-on-girl action, but a story with only that sort of content isn't really to our tastes. This one is qualified for a reason though, since there are exceptions.

For instance, we haven't really delved into the realm of manga doujinshi yet, but I actually have my eye on a cute Konoka/Setsuna story(Of course, it's actually connected to a hardcore, uber-moe Evangeline story, so I guess it technically fits our criteria-- hey, that'd be loli too, huh. All questions answered in one short!). There's always the possibility, if no one does it in the near future, that we may depart from our usual for a minute and translate it ourselves.

Who knows what the future holds!
